IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDINGYOUR BOOKS AND YOUR MONEY
WHAT AFFECTS THE RESALE VALUE OF YOUR BOOKS?
ONE OR MORE OF THESE EXAMPLES WILL INFLUENCE THE RESALE VALUE OF YOUR TEXTBOOKS:
· Instructor has notified the Campus Bookstore that the textbook will be reused and the
Bookstore needs additional copies. (You receive up to 50% of new or used value, limited quantities)
· The instructor has decided not to use the book again OR has not submitted their textbook adoptions to the Campus Bookstore (in this case we are unable to buy any copies for the store).
· The Campus Bookstore already has sufficient quantities on hand to meet projected sales. Quantities bought are LIMITED - come to Buyback early for the best opportunity.
· If a book is not being used on OUR campus (or we already bought our limit), the wholesaler may buy it for resale to other colleges in the U.S. & Canada. National demand determines the value of textbooks that are bought by the wholesaler.
· The textbook has been published in an updated version; the current version is obsolete at the time of buyback. Once this happens the book has little to no value to bookstores throughout the nation.
· The condition of your book may be too poor to be bought back and resold to other students (i.e. missing/damaged components, water damage, soiled, damaged, excessive highlighting, answers written in study guides and workbooks).
Be proactive! Ask your professor about reusing the same book next semester!
